Her crisp, clear English voice and almost lyrical descriptions are a large part of the pleasure of her programmes....that she can cook and bake beautifully is just surreal...

More to the point, this pudding is absolutely wonderful, rich and creamy. Made for the first time as a Christmas dessert, it went down a storm! It also lasted in the fridge for a week and still tasted as good for New Years day. The sauce just needed reheating in the microwave for pouring. Excellent recipe, Nigella does it again!!

Treacle is molasses, incase anyone didn't know.
Muscovada sugar is true brown sugar.
C & H brown sugar is real brown sugar, made of unrefined sugar. Most other so called brown sugars are just white sugar with added molasses.

I kid you not, this sticky toffee pudding recipe is the BEST I’ve ever made and tasted! This always goes down very well at gatherings (served with cream or vanilla ice cream!) and once you’ve tried it, there’s no turning back!

HINT: I made a similar recipe a little while back. I would recommend mixing the bicarb or baking powder in with the flour thoroughly before adding to the mix. The bits without were dense and the bits with were fizzy.
