How to Swap the X and Y Axis of a Graph In Excel Tutorial

In this tutorial I will show you how to switch the X and Y axis in an excel graph. I will show you step by step all of the things you need to do to swap these around on the graph. The method described in the video works for a scatter plot, bar graph or line graph in exactly the same way. The key is to use the edit data option.

Sometimes you need to swap the axis without moving the data around as they may be used elsewhere.

I HATE Excel, because it makes so simply things so god damn hard to do. I wish that I could use Google sheets in school things, because it is so much more better in every way (If data amount is not huge).
I actally tried to do this on Google sheets, and it took me about 30 seconds to find how to do it, it is so simple in sheets, m when you can decide which column is which

nope, excel does NOT automatically assign x and y values. Excel for some reason has assigned both columns as series 1 and series 2, how do I correct this????

YOU can also switch the columns, start presenting the column that you want to be your X axsi

Before you make the chart, move the x-column to anywhere left of the y-column. Mark both, and insert chart. Quickest way. It should have been a swap axis button, but no.
