For the love of all that is holy please don’t make me commit a felony to get a gr Yaris. I’m this close to stripping one down and importing it in pieces so I can race one in the ara. Please! The wrc announced a usa race for 2026 there is a desire for small awd cars!!!!

My parents own a Yaris Hybrid from 2022, I don't think you really need one in America other than to fulfill a small car, maybe under 20k.
We got ours in Greece, the model just above base with the alloy wheels out the door for 19k, nowadays the base hybrid with steelies goes for 22k.
These GR Sports go for 30+ and having lived with the base one for 2 years, it's a rip off when we have the same mechanicals/power
I wouldn't describe it as fun either, or particularly hot. 0-60 in 9-10 seconds won't pull the skin off a rice pudding or outdrag a Mk1 GTi but it will beat many cars off the line.
It's an interesting, good looking fridge. It also gets 3.2l/100km which is incredible.
Fun I'd be hard pressed to call it but it's cool to zip around in a city at low speeds, it falls apart on highway cruising when hills are involved and the engine has to rev hard to keep up 75MPH, the steering is dead and it flops around on its body even on minor bumps let alone hard cornering.

All in all, not sure you want this in America, it'd be way out of its depth. This is very much a city only car for 2 people, very uncomfortable in the back for a long journey.
I will give it this though, the Corolla is uglier and has virtually the same space inside, it's no roomier. This is just wider and shorter. Again, I think it'd be out of its depth.
Maybe with a "big block" 2 liter or 1.8

I’m ready to move to Europe for one of these. I have a 2010 Yaris and love every inch of its well used self. A Toyota Yaris hybrid is the only thing worth replacing it for. With all these look-alike cumbersome SUVs and sedans as our only option, why arent more Americans aren’t screaming for this??

lol what? They make a base yaris which sucks so they made a GR yaris which was great... Then were like hold my bear and put a gr logo on a car that sucks? cvt? really? That car sounds horrible all round
