My brother died 23 years ago because of black ice. He was driving through mountain area in Morgantown WV and lost control and ended up crashing down the side. Its scary how fast black ice can catch you off guard. If driving in bad conditions there's nothing wrong with taking it slow and steady. Be careful out there guys! Its January, one of the coldest months.

I was in a car accident back in 2010 on the freeway at around 10:30 pm my son was sitting in the back drivers side after we hit the ice it was heading towards a light post we thought that was the end of us all. We kept screaming, "Oh, my God!" Then the car came to a complete stop. I felt the car starting to slide and realized it was still on drive, so i put in park. After that I turned back to ask my son if he was ok then noticed a car was heading in our direction it also hit the black ice it slammed right into the back of my car making my son lose conscious as you can imagine I was freaking out. Afterwards the driver came over to ask if we were ok I told him about him so he called 911 they were asking questions so I had to step out after the 3rd one I saw a truck heading towards us and I thought if my son dies then I'm dying with him so I went and tried to get him and thank God at that moment he came out of consciousness and was able to escape the hit but the car knocked me down to the ground but i was ok thank God. After waiting for the paramedics to arrive my son was lying down on the ground when they arrived they checked on me too and said that my forhead was bleeding so they gave me something to put on it. So we finally headed out to the hospital when we got there my son went straight to ICU and I was admitted to a room to get checked and questioned by the police officer. Afterwards I was released so I went to check on him when I got there he was hooked up to the IV and had an oxygen mask on I asked him how he was doing he whispered I feel like throwing up that's one of the symptoms of losing conscious so I told the doctors I asked them if I could take the mask off they said no that he could die if I did but I didnt listen to them because I didn't want him choking on the vomit so I took it off right then he turned to the side and vomited and after a few minutes once again lost conscious so they had to try to revive him but couldn't. So I decided to get down on my knees and cried out to God to please bring him back to life miraculously he did the doctors just stared in amazement and we got released that night and the lead doctor said that without a shadow of a doubt he's alive because of God and walked out of the room. I was amazed as well still am an so thankful. He's been fine ever since but I still can't drive on the freeway I'm hoping and praying I'll get healed one day I know God works in mysterious ways sometimes he heals us right away others he doesn't. I don't really care I'm just thankful he let my son live.

You own a Truck with towing packages always need a bumpstep will save you some pairs cost from any accident like black ice. You even have a brush guard on your truck would be great on any weather conditions will save you some pairs cost from any accident. All those will keep you safe.
