Maybe fast food places shouldn't have tripled their prices in five years. People didn't eat at your burger joint because it's good. They ate there because it was cheap. You ruined that, and now your bottom line is suffering. Consequences.

No body wants to pay 18 for fast food when they can go to a restaurant and spend that much.

We're tired of price gouging. We CAN fight back by NOT spending. It's a great time to quit Amazon & invest instead.

Maybe, just maybe those CEOs should take a bit of a paycut. How many boats, planes and mistresses do they need??

Infinite growth is not possible...the economy is more of an S curve that hit a plateau. Capitalism needs to create economies that are regenerative that benefit the populous even in times of degrowth.

On the bright side I started a diet, which is OMAD since I am retired and dobt work. 16 ounces of hamburger/sausage mixed 4 to 1 3-4 eggs and three slices homemade Bread.

So far, weight is slowly coming off, 2 lbs a week.

In other words “for the people who have it the worst, it’s getting worse. That’s only bad news because we hit the maximum we could participate in making it worse”

Or in wall street terms: sell MCD, buy WMT

Hahahaha . . . "inflation over the Covid period" . . . That's not a very accurate description of the last 3 years.
