I just got juliet takes a breath last year and I am so looking forward to reading it! I adored the black flamingo with my whole heart <3 I was exploding with happiness by the end of it and seeing that character development. Elatsoe is one on my tbr as well.

Im currently reading Bruised by Tanya Boteju, im liking it but it's so much more heavy and angry than I expected. Like i knew it was going to be obviously from the synopsis. But Boteju is bringing the MCs denial/anger stage of grief to life so vividly it's really good. But huge tw for self harm though and (im assuming) the psychology of harm as an outlet/avoidance of grief. Definitely gonna have to read her debut now too! 🏳️‍🌈
