Why Unforgiving People Are So Unforgiving

In this episode of the Cold-Case Christianity Broadcast, J. Warner discusses an often-misunderstood verse of Scripture: “Do not judge so that you will not be judged” (Matthew 7:1). Does this verse preclude us from making any judgment of behavior in our culture? How is this verse used to silence Christians?

I don't believe that we should judge people for their sins, but judge the messenger for not preaching sound doctrine to the sinner. Every Christians motivation should be to win the lost for Christ sake in accordance to 1Cor.15:1-4; Eph.2:8, 9. I believe it's a travesty to sinners that they have to repent of their sins to be saved, when the bible doesn't teach this. The bible teaches to repent by trusting the gospel of Jesus Christ in order to justified or saved from hell and the lake of fire. The last I checked, salvation is a gift given by the donor, not something you can earn.

It's funny how people say Christians are supposed to judge the Bible says don't judge. Jesus said learn right judgment. If we're not supposed to judge then how would we know what's writing what's wrong we have to judge
