The design goes back even further; one HUNDRED years further. Rolex and Panerai pioneered the "cushion" case design. Whoever claims it's an iWatch clone is full-stop ignorant of watch design.
I love my 6 Classic, but frankly, I need sportier watch, so this was an easy upgrade decision for me

One of the reasons I prefer Samsung watches over Apple watches is primarily because I like the traditional round look. Now they've taken that away but I am sure some people will like this new look but I'm hopeful next year we will get the classic round look again. Until then, I will keep my Galaxy watch 6 classic.

I've had my classic 6 sitting in my drawer for 6 months because I hate the battery life. I got the ultra on trade in and hope it lasts a few days. Surprisingly I've been using an Amazfit watch because it can last 2 weeks and gives me good features

I upgraded to the Ultra because it was only $229.99 with the trade-in of the watch5 pro. I'm not giving up the watch6 classic until the next one comes out.

As someone who wore the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro for the last 2 years I can say without hesitation that the new Watch Ultra is a significant upgrade. Much snappier across the board, huge upgrade in watch faces which I really appreciate. Always felt Samsung watch faces lagged behind what Garmin and even Apple had to offer. That's no longer the case. Love the new watch straps which are much beefier and look higher end quality wise although I did like the functionality of my magnetic watch strap on my Watch 5 Pro. New 3000 nit screen is easy to read even in direct sunlight. I've tested all of the gestures which seem to be easy to use and very convenient. The watch Ultra is also gorgeous in person as I admit I wasn't sure just based on photos and video online. Definitely my favorite smart watch to date and I can see myself wearing this watch for a long time. Highly recommend

If it did look anything like the apple effort, there is no way I would have traded my 6 classic in as soon as it was announced the new design is much better , and I like the way the new straps blend into the body better.

Great video! Design is definitely polarizing and some folks won't like it. Other than the orange band, honestly, there's not much about it that looks like the Apple Ultra. Yes, rotating bezel would've been nice but to me it's not a deal breaker.

checked it out today. it looked nice. but, the square face is the way to go on that cushion bezel. could load way more lines of data.

Most likely the time to upgrade from my Watch S3 Frontier, and it's been really super since I bought it, though there have been some hiccups here and there, nothing really negative about the watch. So upgrading to Galaxy Watch Ultra is most like gonna be a huge change, so this video was super helpful, thank you.

Finally someone mentions the Gear Sport ... keep hearing people mention about how Samsung hasn't used this design language before but you're the first one to remember. Everyone else says they copied Apple but they just took an old design and made it better

Great video, thanks. Concerned as this has the same battery as the Watch 5 Pro. With this Ultra picking up two satellite's, I wonder if the battery will die faster. Also, yes please dive into Samsungs native apps. Lastly, wipe down the devices before recording 😂.

read somewhere that you can no longer charge your watch from your phone. That sucks and would have been a deal breaker for me as I use this feature when I travel. Too late though as I have already preordered 😢
