Failed assassination attempt on Argentina’s vice president

Argentina’s Vice President Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner survived an assassination attempt outside her home in the capital, Buenos Aires, after the assailant’s gun jammed.

The suspect, who has not been identified, was detained seconds into the incident.
