Thank you so much for posting. I long ago concluded that Calvinists base their 'doctrines' on theology rather than on Scripture. When they are brought face to face with their logical inconsistencies and contradictions they will stick like glue to their aberrant 'beliefs' and use the word 'paradox' to justify their nonsense. I am so happy to have come across your website, and I thank the Lord for leading me to it.

I lost my best friend (and pastor) to double predestination/ Calvinism and pray for those in his church as I obviously believe it is 100% heretical...

Kevin, I looked up the "Word Pictures in the New Testament" commentary that you cited and I have a question. Robertson states later on in reference to belief in Acts 13:48 that, "It was saving faith that was exercised only by those who were appointed unto eternal life, who were ranged on the side of eternal life, who were thus revealed as the subjects of God's grace by the stand that they took on this day for the Lord."
Wouldn't this be in line with the Calvinistic point of Unconditional Election?...I'm not a Calvinist :)
