I’m thinking the graphics are gonna go back just because of how much Fortnite is promoting it. They’ve hyped us up too much to not make it authentic

Just have an old school mode, leave the map, revert the graphics and gameplay changes leave it in the state of the original game and let players choose to play old or new

i really don’t want sprinting and mantling in the build mode because it makes the storm not a threat which was such a fun part of chapter 1 and 2

Even if it isn’t the same anymore, it’s still gonna be cool? Nostalgia is strong man. There is going to be constant updates too so it doesn’t matter if it’s Nostalgic or not, chapter 1 Fortnite was genuinely just a good game

i hope next chapter they somehow still keep the og map to be playable. idk if its just me, but it doesnt seem right for them to be giving us something THIS big that we all will most likely love, just to take every bit of it away in only a month.

I didn't really get to play much of chapter 1 so I'm hyped to fully experience it, but I feel like a lot of older players are gonna return then play a few games and call it trash because the players skill has evolved, imo they should remove turbo build for next season, it would make it more casual.

The way I feel about returning back to the OG map as someone who started in Chapter 1 Season 5, it's close to the feeling of Japanese (maybe some westeners) gamers returning to a "very familiar and beloved location" in Dragon Quest 3 in the 80s.
not only the nostalgia, but the feeling that you grew up skill wise and now having the ability to actually try and make the most of what you couldn't do before is just awe-inspiring to me.

The thing is people were complaining about the old map around Season X because they thought it was too cluttered with messed up POIS and they were saying that a new map would bring some more excitement to the game but after a while, people started to feel a little too nostalgic about chapter 1 and started calling Chapter 2 onwards trash even though they were clamoring for a new map around Season X

It was enlightening at first and enjoyable for like 2 games. The season is feeling bare bones, and although it feels intentional, the small item shop and small battle pass is off putting. The season brought back tons of sweats for an average player like me wanting some nice casual play, and the season overall doesn’t seem to have much appeal for me who started when chapter 2 released. Overall, meh.

I dont care about the graphics i would like to see chapter 1 get a glow up with current graphics but gameplay wise it will never be the same people know how the game works a lot more now. Im happy to see the old map again but cherish the old memories and make new ones on it again one last time

Ussually when fortnite makes a big move to bring back players this strategy last like 1 month, it happened when they launched chapter 2, when tilted towers made a return on CH2S5 and the list keeps going. As you said, the og´s are not stayng more than a month playing the game wich is very obvious at this point but what ever, lets see if it works this time.

Personally, my experience with the OG map, it has a lot of open areas with little to no cover, and certain areas are difficult to reach. The map was made for build mode which is the mode I despise.. and the sniper is.. busted? Besides that it's hard to find healing items and shields to compensate the busted damage from legendaries. The current graphics don't match the old ones, which causes some effect glitches especially with water, I'm also getting stuttering on a high end PC which makes no sense.. And so far it's been a sweat fest from the very beginning, the game is a lot harder. It is interesting to go back and remember how things used to be, but.. I guess the OG players weren't happy with the balance changes they made which technically made the game easier and.. more fun? Nowadays we have more healing items, augments, upgrades, better ways to engage/disengage, the map feels more fluid, different things to do.. The item shop is HUGE compared to the old one.. It's a little confusing because they actually improved different factors to make the game more enjoyable, but nostalgia is a big factor that messes up with criticism.

Tbh the best thing for fort rn is a complete reboot which I think that’s what there’re doing. Next season is to get all its players back but the season after that the game is going to change in way we never seen before. Idk I just really feel like they got a bigger plan. The og stuff is cool and I can’t wait but the feeling I got it’s just weird.
