There's plenty of cultural differences between dating in western cultures and in Vietnam. This is everything I've learned from dating women in Vietnam for more than 5 years.

Most Vietnamese women are honest and trustworthy. They have easy to understand, straight forward values. If a woman is dating you in Vietnam and she is not a gold-digger then expect that she has serious relationship expectations. If you are not serious too, don't date in Vietnam. Do not expect to find anything fancy or sophisticated what you know from Western culture. It is a different universe here, stability, pragmatism and goal-orientation are the aspects which matter most. I am married with my wife (from North-Vietnam) since 15 years and I am still enjoying every minute of my life with her.

So, if you re lucky, you ll meet a good girl, and if you haven’t found her yet, please be patient and don’t rush to judge all the others. Eventually, you ll meet her. And in the early stages of our relationship, he never took me to expensive restaurants or bought me costly gifts, and of course, I never demanded or hinted for such things either .But in return, he loves, cares for, and looks after me, even in the smallest things, and he always takes the initiative to buy me what I need.

Extremely helpful. So many YouTube’s write off Vietnam dating. Your content is very useful. My experience in dating in Vietnam is it’s the best compared to other SE Asian countries on par with Indonesia. So much better than the Philippines or Thailand because of the qualities of women in Vietnam. I found Vietnamese women very approachable and friendly. I prefer the traditional qualities of Vietnamese women over Filipinas and Thai women. Any other content on dating in Vietnam will be greatly appreciated

About a year ago I took her to a Lexus dealership to upgrade her car and when she saw the price tag she told me her current car was fine and she didn’t want me to spend a huge sum of money on her. I'm gonna add a pro tip: if you want to get a vietnamese woman that's a keeper, go to gym's/coffee shops in the weekend mornings

Very helpful tips. I remember I went on a date in Hanoi with a girl 15 years younger than me. There was some kind of a pop-up restaurant with all kind of seafood - later it turns out that it was weekends only. Without me knowing, the price was appx 120 usd for eating - I did not know. After dinner she smiled and explained that next time I invite a girl out I should not take her to such an expensive restaurant. There was no second date thought bc of language barrier, and she even told me that I was to young/young minded for her. I learned quite a bit on that night.

I have been all over Asia dating, I met my Vietnamese girlfriend in Aug 24 and wow she is the best ever. She never asks for money, she only wants to eat out in cheap places, every time I say we go to a nice restaurant I will pay she always say save your money its too expensive.. I met her on Tic Toc, no dating apps, she started to follow me and we started to chat. I have now been over to see her 4 times since and flying out again on the 19th March 25. I now stay at her apartment when I visit, when I try to give her money for my stay she refuse so I have to hide the money and let her know where it is once on the plane lol . I have met all of her family they are so friendly towards me in fact all Vietnamese people I have met are so friendly. My advice to anyone don't visit any other Asia country if you are looking for a girlfriend, Vietnam is the best place. I'm 57 from the UK she 42 and from Hanoi area.

Vietnamese women really like to hold onto their man. I loved a Viet woman for 5 years here in USA and she was pure heaven. Nobody comes close to the feeling I had with her. Gambling addiction is another issue...

Dating in Da Nang was more difficult for me to get girls to agree to meet on apps. HCMC had more English speakers. I could match with someone and they would be happy to meet the next day. Every date was worth it!

I (mexican) dated (4 y) a vietnamese in Toronto, very straight forward person, strong character and charming in many ways. But the limited english from both of us made it impossible to succeed. Although it was beautiful and I sort of love her still, I would never try to cross the language barrier again. It is crucial.

In Southeast Asia, Vietnamese girls are the most beautiful and have highest standard when choosing male partners (almost they're gonna choose Vietnamese guys & East Asian guys). Guys in other countries in SEA are usually jealous of Vietnamese guys for getting such the beautiful and white-skinned girls in the region!
