You can use the Linux virtual machine manager to handle your mac OS virtual machine!
Demonstrated on Ubuntu but should work for every major distro

Nice presentation, easy to understand, to the point. Good job

As an extra tip: Use a spice server viewer for a slight speed increase and being able to use keyboard shortcuts on the VM without the host capturing those

Hi I'm getting an "Error starting domain" when I try to Run it in Virt-Manager. I tried looking around and it seems like it has something to do with Permission issues. Has anyone come across this and managed to get it fixed? Thanks!

Nice video I had to add and reboot commands below before virtual machine manager would connect to qemu on ubuntu 20.04 LTS
systemctl enable libvirtd
systemctl enable virtlogd

I don't know if this was commented, but when trying to do boot the virtual machine, i kept getting an error about permission denied trying to open some file... So... to solve this, just copy the folder where you have all the required files of macOS-simple-KVM to /opt/, with this command (maybe you need to change it):

mv ~/MacOS-Simple-KVM/ /opt/macOS-Simple-KVM

Then delete the virtual machine on virt-manager, and then move in your terminal to that /opt/macOS-Simple-KVM and then try again the command "sudo ./make.sh --add" and add that drive. This time will surely work.

I have created a VM machine with 64Gb capacity. How can I extend this to 120Gb?

Hi! Iḿ new to Linux and I tried this instruction. I just had a spare machine lying around and I wanted to try virtualization. I have installed the snap-package sosumi and got annoyed about not being able to add an USB-drive to the virtual Mac. So here I am :)
However, I do not have the documentation you refer to at 0:56 into your video. And I an new to the file structure. What is the path to the file? And also what is the path to where you open up a new terminal window at ? Maybe this is not something to apply to the machine one installs with sosumi?

the virtualbox method is easier (if you have unreliable internet connection; this is really disappointing as virt-manager is more powerful)

is there is way I can use an iso instead of installing from within the Macos?

my virual machine just restarting but not initializing macos. Just the script runs and qemu restarts.Pls resolve the issue

great vid! however I followed your first video and it worked great, however after adding it to Virtual-manager I keep getting guest OS is not running.
any info you could shed on this would be gratefully received.

Edit: I had to change permissions on the folder for Virtual manager to be able to access it.

Many thanks for a great job! At the beginning everything was working perfectly. Now I have added a new 500GB SSD disk to my Linux system and I moved my VM to this disk. I have made the whole procedure on the new disk. Executing basic.sh runs tveVM nicely. However after installing the manager, I can" start the VM. Manager displays "Error starting domain: Cannot access storage<path to the storage> : Permission denied." I have set all privileges to the new disc and all its files. What could be the problem ?

after sudo ./make.sh --add vm not added to virtmanager. is it because i changed the project folder? it is not in my home folder. due to capacity i moved all to anoher drive.
