Last story I read only 24hrs ago, written from parents' perspective, with a meddling HOA. They claim that it ended up with the local kids making friends with the daughter, and them all using the goal for practice.

1st Story: I have had that happened to me a few times, where I offered to leave when the next payroll period ended .vs. a full 2 weeks. The higher ups almost always agree as it is easier on the "paperwork drill". The local Manager and/or Assistant Manager that made me leave said job were happy to see me leave and let me know that fact!
Then next thing they do is call me wanting me a few more days after I turned everything in!! Especially when there's a seasonal uptick in business... Something that I knew when I made the offer of not doing the full two weeks (lol!)....

Last Story: Ripe just coveted this one, just not from this perspective. First it wasn't the township harassing then, it was their HOA, second, yes it was the neighbor across the street who is trying to sell her house but can't. It's an awesome story told from both perspectives. Go listen to Ripes stream for the story from the side of the ones who built the goal.

Heard the last story before, but it was an HOA. Und the person making the complaint was known. Und the neighborhood kids also used the net.

The net was in the front yard, because it was unsafe to put it in the backyard without spending more money than the permanent net cost.

Probably because of that manager they implemented a new rule saying that you can only do things like family only like immediate family discounts and no friends. With proof not just by their say so.

Living on an Island - Great Britain - ferries are a thing if you want to travel further afield. Be nice.I once rolled up to a port with less than 5 minutes to spare and in those days, a quick check of ticket was all you needed. Followed the instructions - nobody around - the crew waved me on - last car - and the doors shut behind me. Next ferry would have been at least an hour ...if there was a place available.
You can use the "standby" thing to advantage if you know there is such a thing. I did. Presuaded g/f to get up early so we can try get a standby slot on the 7.00am ferry instead of waiting another 4 hours for the next boat - our ticket crossing. She wasnt very convinced but we rocked up early and were first in the standby list...and yes we got on. Be nice. Might save you hours of waiting around or getting the ferry if you are teensy bit close to the departure time.

football story. i hearrd a realy simular one just today on another one, this one beeing from the homeowners of the house with a permanent goal perspective with a young daughter etc, in that story it was an HoA that was the antagenist and a friend of the hoa president beeing the complainer. wonder if its two different story or from two different perspectivs, or someone stealing a story and changing it.
