“I can’t be consistent” - thank you!! 🙏🏼 It’s such a waste of time to insist a brilliant creative brain work against itself.

I'm an 83 yr old ADHD. I just discovered you last night and look forward to working with and following your ideas. After running my business for 24 years, I came to the realization I was basically unemployable. It's a great understanding.

So many failures that the history is overwhelming. I have always been told that ADHD folks are resilient because they have had to learn how to pick themselves up over and over but, I am finding it hard to do that any more. I don't trust my follow through mostly. An idea can literally go from "This is brilliant!" to "That's dumb" in a matter of hours. I attribute it mostly to a lack of self confidence in my ability to execute.

"owning your weird" has been my motto for ages. Thanks for the validation 😍❤️

As someone with ADHD, I can totally relate to everything you said! I've learned the hard way that I love making well-thought out plans and schedules, and I get more done when I totally ignore them. When I instantly act on a "great idea", I get more accomplished.

This is exactly my experience right now trying to build an online business on the side whilst working 9-5. I got very frustrated after the first month that I didn't have the energy to get certain tasks done and I started feeling behind on things and overwhelmed. I thought it was because of my 9-5 job draining me. But I've noticed that by doing things my way and prioritizing what works for me and my brain, I actually have the energy to follow through with tasks and be more consistent! 😅

There's gold in this video! "let it be messy" - wow. Downside of a late diagnosis > I'm sad that I've spent so many DECADES trying to put a square career peg in a round hole, but still look forward to a different/better future. Your authenticity shines brilliantly, Karen, happy to be on board > I'll take "authentic you" any day of the week over "consistent you"! :)

I struggle with consistency like most. But all the gurus say this is the guideline of success, blah, blah, blah. And I feel like I'm failing if I can't follow their roadmap. THANK YOU so much for permission to do it my way!

Oh my goodness. I so relate... Not wanting to get fired again, being authentic, doing things your own way...and I also can't do the whole "thumbnail first ". I wanna feel the subject 😅

This makes me feel so much better! I can’t follow certain rules for business. They make me feel robotic and clunky.

I'm ADHD & I actually clicked on the thumbnail bcoz it said you do things "ass backward" & that so resonated with me 😍 I am trying to figure out how to be creative + make some money from it 💵😜

“I am consistently inconsistent” … I have identified with this statement since I was in my 20s… I got diagnosed with ADHD in my 50s!?! Thank you!

Thanks for these reminders. I'm currently drowning in developing my social media plan & was trying to force myself to plan months in advance to "make it easier..." but the overwhelm was just too much. This was a good reminder that I can do things "my way" and still have success.

One of my biggest realizations about consistency is it can often be faked. Which is a good thing for an ADHD brain like mine! Yes the algorithm may prefer my content get published in some kind of consistent pattern, but that doesn’t mean we have to make all the content consistently. I can let myself pump out content when the hyper focus hits and then schedule it to release on a consistent pattern afterwards. The most important part I’m still learning is how to honestly evaluate my own bandwidth over time instead of assume my hyper focus super mode is a reasonable daily standard. If the consistent schedule I set assumes I can produce that way too often it will still become unrealistic.

So relatable. I’m 59, work a crappy but sometimes entertaining job, have several businesses I’ve started and put on the shelf. I also have a quirky YouTube channel that I have yet to niche. I have yet to figure out a system that works for me.

First thing I taught my daughter was think outside the box, and be yourself. It always work.

“Wearing what I want to wear when I come to work and be in the space that I want to be in…and not having to work with people I can’t stand being around.”

The real “WHY”… Simon Sinek would be proud 😁🌸🤣👍🏻

That was the worst thing ever happened to me as well, I followed steps from Indeed for organization, priorities, and time management and you really need to be careful sometimes, I became an A type person and not even succeeded at it because it wasn''t me, more than that type A people get heart diseases and it makes sense, so imagine forcing yourself to something you're not
