Mensur duel with Longsword #shorts

This is an HEMA challenge to do with one friend, which is coppied from the german Mensur Academic fencing "Akademisches Fechten". This kind of exercise is from the idea of 2 men standing 'in mesure' from eachother and they do not move when striking. They stand on their place and do not flinch or dodge.

Most swords that are used are sabre's, rapiers, small swords, but traditionaly it is strictly épée/rapier. But the idea is the same.

Challenge rules we used:
- When starting your weapons have to be within striking distance on every part of the body
- Cannot move from place (if do, get back in it)
- 30 seconds

Please be so kind as to research the word „mensur“. These sword skills of yours are amazing, but have nothing to do with a „mensur“. I would know since I did some.

This is not mensur fighting, first of all they are moving and not standing stationary in one place, that’s the whole point of mensur fighting, if you flinch or move.. it’s a disgrace, it’s all about bravery, second mensur fighters don’t use both hands on the sword.
