I’ve watched a lot of videos on the AC 300. I liked yours for detail and explaining the split phase pieces. Good work.

Quite thorough. Thanks for the time it took to make this video. I have taken a more "minimalist" approach. If my power goes out, I will probably go into "camping mode" and reduce my power needs to what I would use if I were going camping. I have a rag-tag collection of power stations that should keep my essentials going for a number of days. Use what ya got! EDIT: Happy Holidays!!

lol, that was awesome what you did there!

The q&a might feel stupid when you're editing but it's useful to get the same information out with a different style. Delivering the same information in monologue is good but switching it up was a good touch. Reminds me of QVC, the dialog makes the viewer feel more comfortable.

Since I began the journey of battery backup of my home, I realized just how much we use. I think it's going to take several years to make it possible.

Great job, excellent info and educational! Very helpful to apply with our Bluetti home project. Thanks 🎉

Awesome! Love these real world tests! We have gas for our hot water, the power went out the other day but I was able to run the ignition and electronics for it off a Vtoman jump 600. So everyone was able to have a shower. Ran the fridge off the Vtoman jump 1500 and internet and TV off a Ecoflow river max. All I purchased last year after watching your reviews!
So the Misses doesn't think it's all a waste of money now! 😂

Thanks for the content throughout the year, I always look forward to you videos and has kept me entertained throughout the year! I've learnt a lot and spent some money on your recommendations!
Have a safe and prosperous 2024! 😁

Would be nice to see some DIY type stuff with all in ones and separate off the shelf batteries. This Bluetti setup is out of the budget for many people.

That's an enormous hot water heater for a two person household. The newer models, with a heat pump on top, provide plenty of hot water for two people and use about 1/4 as much electricity, during the course of a year. Put it on a timer, shutting off power from 10PM to 4AM, and you can reduce that even further. They are also coming out with heat pump hot water heaters that run on 120 volts. Those are remarkably efficient, if you don't need a lot of hot water in a short period of time. For normal use, they're fantastic.

The AC300 system is very powerful and very versatile, but if I need that kind of output, there's no way I'm going with a "portable" solution. The way to go for a system with that kind of capability is a normal, component-based inverter, charger and battery bank. The new 6000XP is a more cost-effective and scalable solution than the AC300, and it's just about as easy to hook up.

Thanks for the demonstration!
We’re currently looking at both this AC300,
& the AC500.
Similar situation, two adult empty nesters,
heating & cooling with a heat pump,
drying clothes with a heat pump dryer,
& cooking on an induction cooktop.
EV charging will be another issue!
Thanks for sharing your experiences!

A wee tip. Remember that a significant proportion of the planet runs on sensible voltage with respect to frequency as standard. You might want to cover 240v 50 Hz ;)

Now you could have done the alter ego in a Santa suit and that would have pulled in some new, younger fans to the channel 😂. Nice video as always and thanks 👍🏻

Great video on this topic.

Note though that building a server rack battery system or seperate LiFePO4 batteries with an inverter and solar is a far better vakue for the money. Will Prowse has great videos on this topic.

We have 240 v here in the UK, the input is it capable to accept mini wind turbine also for charging. Oh would you mind giving price and availability here in the UK, thank you, take care.

Question:I see you used the Y cable which is what I want to use. Some used the fusion box and had some problems.
Is the Y cable fine to use?
No need for the fusion box?
I want to skip the transfer switch and go straight to an interlock in the main panel, manually turning on breakers.
Thanks for any help.

Airco, TV, WiFi are not critical, the freezer is ;) But very nice video

Do you have to connect each ac300 to a power source separately or does the master get plugged in and feed the slave?

ColumbiaElectrical

When looking at the slave screen AC output, it doesn’t show any out put. Are the slaves batteries being used at the same rate as the master?

It's a " water heater" not a hot water heater. You don't need to heat hot water! Talk about the ultimate inefficiency!@😮
