Android Pie Review: Everything You Need to Know

Показать описание
Android 9 Pie is a massive, AI-infused software update, and it’s generally a pleasure to use. The handful of features made possible by machine learning are helpful additions, but there’s much more to Pie than that. Google has done a lot nipping and tucking to make Android itself easier to use, and some system-level changes give the platform room to grow in some important ways. Not everyone will love the changes Google made here -- power users in particular -- but overall, it’s a thoughtful, worthy update that will only get better when even more features arrive later this year.

I almost thumbs down this video and left within the first 5 seconds when I heard chewing. Some YouTubers actually have the disrespect to chew gum throughout their entire video and it just pisses me off.

I regretted updating to Pie almost immediately after doing it. If you are happy with 8.0.1, keep it.

"the quick menu basically works as it did before" umm, no it doesn't, you used to able to control things, WiFi, Bluetooth, from directly within it, now you have to long press & get taken to settings. There's some good things in this update but mostly it feels like a step backwards, I'm not a fan.

I don't understand why the dark theme doesn't extend into the settings area.?

Getting to the App Drawer can be accomplished by a single long swipe from the bottom, instead of two short swipes, saving time.

I wish they would bring back the expanded volume controls tho because i hate that it only, and i do mean ONLY controls media. So if you're looking for ringtone volume or notification volume, you MUST go into the settings deeper to get to them.

I've had 1 smartphone before my new la artisto 4 with android 9.0 ...pie?
It has a 16gb SIM which I maxed out fast. I got a 256gb SD chip thinking I could move some of my apps to it.
T mobile eventually told me that can't be done anymore. Why would they do that and are they going to fix it???

I basically do like Android Pie. However, one of the features I was using is no longer available. I can't do app pairs. I can't decide which app goes on top of which app goes on the bottom once they both open.

I have found the new Notifications very annoying. While on a phone call, I get the annoying "ding" indicator. I am not sure why this was changed, as I have to remember to "Do Not Disturb" before and after a call, or disable all notifications.

This update is so bad only good features are defaulting media volume and allowing you to toggle the theme everything else has gotten worse. I'm probably uninstalling it. I've been using it for awhile and I hate it.

I really like the feel of this video, I’m not sure if the editing or what have you but whatever you guys did to make this video feel like this I want more.
