This is the Deadliest Crash accident in aviation History.

On March 27, 1977, two Boeing 747 passenger jets collided on the runway at Tenerife North Airport in the Canary Islands, Spain. The collision happened when KLM Flight 4805 initiated its takeoff run while the Pan Am Flight 1736 was still on the runway. The disaster was caused by a combination of factors, including dense fog, communication problems, and pilot error, which sadly resulted in the deaths of 583 people.

I added two other planes (Boeing 777 and 737), in this video just to show you how the crash might've happened.

There were actually other things that factor into this that was left out of the snippet. That plane was actually suppose to be at another airport but there was a bomb scare (real bomb) that went off so they routed every plane to come to this tiny airport. Even the ATC employees were overwhelmed that day and they never had so many commercial airliners come at one time. This cause people to miss cruises, vacations, getting home after being stuck on the plane for many many hours. They also just passed the law into effect that if the pilot did certain amount of hours they couldn’t fly. So the captain got irritated by all these factors and didn’t want to pay attention. The ATC was giving them specific instructions on where to go and taxi the airplane but they were thinking differently than what was giving to them. It was a small tiny airport and miscommunication between the ATC and the pilot. Co-pilot could have stopped this mess if the pilot let them fill up gas there but the captain got angry at him and smirked off on him. Poorly thinking skills on that pilot because he had enough and didn’t care to get permission to take off. Patience truly is a virtue. There’s a big documentary on it by Mayday: Air disasters. Everything that led up to that day could have been avoided if 4 things didn’t line up. It’s a creepy and eerie feeling knowing that 4 things that lined up perfect, caused this Perfect Storm.

1. Bomb at the original airport
2. Heavy thick fog rolled-in. (Couldn’t see three feet in front of them)
3. Pilot didn’t want to top off gas right before take off.
4. Pilot and co-pilot didn’t know what was communicated via radio/pilot got angry and took off without permission. (According to the black boxes the co-pilot even questioned his captain on why he was taking off and tried to stop him)

If I’m not mistaken there were over 430 souls that perished between the 2 planes. 😢

Explaining:occurred on March 27, 1977, when two Boeing 747 passenger jets collided on the runway at Los Rodeos Airport[1] (now Tenerife North Airport) on the Spanish island of Tenerife.[2][3] The collision occurred when KLM Flight 4805 initiated its takeoff run during dense fog while Pan Am Flight 1736 was still on the runway. The impact and resulting fire killed everyone on board KLM 4805 and most of the occupants of Pan Am 1736, with only 61 survivors in the front section of the aircraft, resulting in the worst aviation disaster in Spain.[2][3] With 583 fatalities, the disaster is also the deadliest accident in aviation history.Ignore The Numbers.

The things the pan am pilot said before they crashed:

"HES COMING... THAT SON OF A BITCH IS COMING!"

all the pilots on pan am survived, but there were no survivors on the KLM RIP to the 583 people who died in the accident

Ironic that worst accident in aviation history did not occur up in the air or mid-flight.
One of the 2 planes actually was fully on the ground.

The reason this happened was because both planes were supposed to go to an airport in Gran Canaria (Island in Canary’s) but since that airport was being done or built both planes were directed to Tenerife North airport. KLM plane was 30 mins ahead of Pan Am plane. The KLM plane was heading from the United States of America. While Pam Am was from Belgium. They were both heading for Gran Canaria. But at the time the pilots did not know it was being done. KLM was there 30 mins before Pan Am plane and KLM had to do a couple of loops around Gran Canaria Airport while waiting for communications at Gran Canaria was telling them what to do. They got told to divert to Tenerife North airport. Later, the same thing happened to Pan Am and they got diverted to Tenerife North Airport. But they only had one airport in Tenerife at the time but now they have two. North Airport was on a slope of the Island which made it tricky to land and take off but they both succeeded with that. Tenerife North did not have good communications and the Airport was not in very good condition. At the time Tenerife South Airport was being built to have better communications and be in better conditions. But Tenerife South Airport was still being built, so both planes had to go to the North Airport. KLM plane landed with no issues at all. (except for the diversions) Pan Am plane landed safely too but when Pan Am plane started taxiing. KLM plane was on the runway taking off for it’s next route. Due to the Fog KLM plane could not see Pan Am plane on the runway. KLM was about to take off and then they saw Pan Am plane. It was to late for the pilot to stop the plane. He was already going to fast. So the driver of KLM tried to take off before he hit Pan Am plane but that did not work. KLM plane skidded across Pan Am flight and completely recked Pan Am flight. I believe there were NO survivors.

That’s the story.
There might be some mistakes in this little thing I done.
Thank you for reading 😊

Why do people say that this is the worst plane crash in history it is disastrous, but 9/11 killed 2000 people or more. Tenerife airport disaster is the third or second worst air crash in history. 🤓
