Practical Cubase Guide Ep.06 - The Inspector Panel

In this series I show you how I use Cubase on a day-to-day basis - the practical stuff that gets you writing music with the minimum of fuss!

In this Episode I describe what you need to know to navigate your way round the Inspector Panel - that's the thing that runs down the left hand side of Cubase.

My name is Anthony Chisnall. I'm a musician and a songwriter. I've created this channel - One Man and His Songs - in order to share with you everything I learn as I strive to improve my songwriting skills. Hi Anthony, I’m working my way through your videos, currently on 6. I like the down to earth no nonsense approach from somebody who’s produced some really good work using a method which doesn’t tie the student up in knots. I am testing DEMO and the inspector seems to have a big problem. All 4 tabs display items which are truncated, and in many places it is impossible to figure out what is what. There is no way to resize this panel (very bad idea, or perhaps I am missing something). Any answers to that ?

Thanks! Any chance you have covered in more detail info on understanding the Inspector's Input & Instrument settings? I'm not clear on how to use them. I have Native Instruments S61 keyboard & Native Access (standard)/a whole cadre of sounds that I just don't have a handle on. Also in the inspector the Program Selector is not clear to me.

What kind of Cubase are you using?
I have just started using Cubase Elements 11. I do not see visibility to the right of Inspector. Does my program not have this?
