I learned the difference between kerning and tracking.

I picked up on something about designing images to fit the space they are intended for? <-- Not sure if that's right or if I perceived that right. I took it to mean that if you need to fill a space that's (for example) 600 x 800 then use an image designed at 600 x 800 (or maybe slightly larger - 630 x 840 maybe).
