I was recently diagnosed with Hashimoto's, my TPO antibody test showed it when my T3 and T4 were 'normal enough.'
I've had the symptoms since puberty. Actually, I've had times where I fit Grave's disease too. So, I think that my thyroid operates in the hypothyroidism range while my immune system is attacking my thyroid and when my immune system calms down(usually after prolonged used of steroids or antibiotics?) It becomes hyperthyroid. I have ALL the classic symptoms.
My doctor refused to give me a referral to see a specialist because my t3 and t4 levels are acceptable, therefore the tpo antibody doesn't mean anything and I can't have Hashimoto's. It's ALL IN MY HEAD.
Classic.

Fun to discuss the symptoms. Any good reasons why doctors refuse to treat it?

Man I think I'm developing something like this. I don't HAVE hypo, but blood tests showed close to lower function, yet still in normal range. I also have some of these symptoms

Ive just had my 2nd set of bloods confirmed hypothyrodsim. dealing with pretty much all the symptons apart from weight gain and hashimoto's disease.

im actually losing it 86kg in April 81 now. blood sugars are normal

trip the GP next week hopefully to sort things out. knew there was more behind my exhaustion/tiredness than just my dysphoria

but my metabolism is pretty high as I do multiple days of weight training/ HIIT

Hypo also includes feeling crazy/psychotic, fatigue, lethargy, thinning hair, thickening skin, elevated cholesterol, bradycardia, constipation,
Basically your metabolism is too slow, and your body ain't functioning properly
