Wes Anderson has publicly stated that his latest film, the stop-motion 'Isle of Dogs', has been explicitly influenced by the action movies of Akira Kurosawa.
When a sneak-preview scene from the film was released online, I immediately picked up on some visual echo.
So I threw this together as a bit of fun.

The music is similar to some used in Kurosawa's 'Dreams'. Also in that there's a scene of a futuristic island with garbage and toxic waste. Another scene features a man being menaced by a dog in a tunnel. Lots of subtle references.

I also noticed themes from kurosawa films. Also the name "Toshiro" chief's owner.

most important thing was that sad guitar tone, it was from akira's Drunken Angel, and also music from seven samurai was used here, also if you notice the last scene of the chef cooking the food, looks very much like the akira's "Ran" character.

It's impossible to see similarities only with that scene. I think Wes Anderson was referring to something much more global, something related to the essence of the film rather than the shots or the concepts from any scene.
