Master is not meant for guidance and all, not even colleges . Everyone do self study . We don't need classes still we are forced to attend them, just for the sake of maintaining 90% attendence . You guys are luck y, no attendence criteria . Enjoy your life.

Distance mode itself means no regular mode for weekly classes and you have to be on your own so why would you expect any guidance? Distance mode mainly for those wbo are already engaged with any other activities like job or pursuing any other regular degree

The problem is not with IGNOU or their study material and online video resources I think only problem is the support at least students should be given knowledge of audio/video study material and labs session should be compulsory, on paper IGNOU looks good low cost medium to educate yourself. But real me sab khud ko karna he aur kuch chizo me aapko IGNOU proactive bhi bana dega jese ki khud ko saare dates yaad rakhna he assignment submission even exam form ki dates. Aur batchmates se interaction nhi hota he ek ye bada download side he. I feel IGNOU is good for courses which are one year or shorter because you have completed the course before your enthusiasm is low. And Jo kah rahe he distance ka mtlb hi he ki khud ko padhna he but MCA technical course he aur usme lab bus on paper ho to kya mtlb he practical to zaruri he.

Mujhe North campus mil raha tha... Par logo ki baaton mein akar maine ignou mein addmission le liya aur yeh meri life ki woh sabse badi galti thi... Logo ne bola ki graduation ke sath koi computer course bhi kar loge toh accha rahega. Currently I'm in Bcom 3rd year, aaj tak college ka gate tak nahi dekhne ko mila hai... First year se le kar 3rd year tak google meet par hi Classes ho rahe hai... 1 ghante hi class hoti hai... Usmein 10 - 15 minutes toh network issue ya server delay mein hi nikal jaate hain. 16 chapter (around 450 pages) only 6 classes mein hi complete kara dete hain 😅.
Sabbhi students CUET do ya phir kisi private colleges mein addmission le ka socha. Agar financial issues hai toh SOL mein Addmission le sakte ho baki IGNOU mein addmission lene se pehle khoob soch vichaar kar lena.

And also when you are registering with IGNOU for courses they always mention that only one class will be held on every week and also not to depend on IGNOU for any study guidence and depend on the study materials that you collect from private tutors and I think you missed the part when they said that you can do any courses regardless of your age . So, i don't think it's that of a big deal which is you are trying to make without knowing the basics ( If it's offended by any chance so i don't care because this is the harsh truth)

I did mca from ignou after bcom, took 5 yrs to complete (covid) I never studied seriously but i had interest in programming and cs so i always refered to youtube never depended on ignou classes anyway those faculties were no good i remember i used to travelled long distance to attend class on sunday and the faculty not even once successfully compiled and successfully executed code in graphics programming and also c programming 😅

The most important point, most companies do not consider distance degrees. Just a waste of time. Do it for self-learning, not for placement.
