How to limit risk: 1. Encrypt your data before uploading it to cloud storage. 2. Don't upload sensitive data to cloud storage even if it's encrypted. 3. Don't really on just one medium for data backup, use at least 2 backup options so if one gets hacked or goes down you still have another copy.
