Good to see a car company trying to solve an engineering challenge with common sense, and not with marketing and fishy sales pitches.

That is why I love this company. They do what’s right for quality, longevity, and continuity, not just what direction the wind is blowing. True leaders of the industry.

Lessons learned of the 2020s, If you want people to reject something, just try to force it on them.

So…Toyota is doing what it has always done and is making sure a technology is good and ready before committing to it large-scale. Good. Honestly makes me appreciate them even more. Perhaps a Toyota is in my future…

Still driving my 2005 Corolla to this day, and I wouldn't be surprised if it was still running well 10 years from now.

One way to reduce your carbon footprint is to keep your vehicle as long as possible. Reliable, durable, quality vehicles would be the key here. It’s also what Toyota has been manufacturing for decades.

Toyota are absolutely right, I’ve owned a Tesla X for 3 years now and although it’s great, the range and the time it takes to charge on anything but trips to work etc. are a nightmare. I did a 600 mile round trip last months and had to make 7 stops at roughly 40 mins each to make sure I didn’t run out of juice. Those stops added 4.5 hours to my journey. Cold conditions and motorway speeds just mop up energy and at 65p a kw at Superchargers it’s not that cheap either, I think it was about £140. My friend has just picked up a hybrid and it’s cheaper per mile than charging my car - hybrid is the way until hydrogen comes on line.

From a massive Toyota fan .. they will get this right like they have with everything they touched, F1 excluded, that was unfortunate but still look at the new 3 cylinder GR motor. 212kw from a little 1600. That's just how they roll. Good on you Toyota. Excited to see more performance focused models

It’s just nice to see a company that large with leadership using common sense, instead of feel good methods.

Back in 1998 I was a Toyota mechanic, Toyota was already working on hydrogen cars at that time, it's surprising to see it take this long to come to the surface, I really like this concept.

...brilliant. This is why Toyota will not only be around for a long time but it will stay on top in the automotive industry.

Smart man. It's crazy to focus and turn a company to all EV like so many are trying to do, but it's not what majority of customers want, can afford, or that the infrastructure will be able to even support.
