Please add some more information or customization eg. When we take the passport photo we needs to go to the photo center they are mostly gives us proper passport photo according to Passport requirement. when we need to upload your software suppose to grebe in the box in which it supposed to be same with the signature. Documents scanning is easy but to make it PDF format is not that easy for common people if we upload in JPEG IT Supposed to be compress and convert by your software it makes very easy for everyone. after finishing mailing and fee part it should print all the List of the document we needs to mail in the envelop that makes again very easy for the common people.

The VFS Global form to add customer has restriction on max length for last name. The last name needs to be less than 13 characters. My last name in passport is longer than 13 characters. So how can I enter last name that matches the passport?

Do you have a video explaining how the Renunciation process works? I believe there you have to go to Passport Suvida to get an ARN number which is used by VFS Global?

At 15:25, when creating a new customer, on the second field (Passport Number), do we need to provide the US passport no. or India passport no.?

For the below info, where do we stick the applicant's photo and thumb impression? The generated form already has the photo and thumb impression in there. Very confusing


Signature/Thumb impression should be confined to the prescribed box. In case of minor applicants, parents should NOT sign in the box.

Photograph to be affixed on the application should be a square shape of size not less than 51*51mm (with 80% coverage of face). It should have plain light color background (not white) without the border with front view of person's head and shoulders showing the full face in middle of the photograph. It should not be stapled and not have any signature.

So why you guys keep rejecting applications after charging all the fees you want?? Is this the only way you make extra money? Why charge on phone calls to you? Do you guys not get enough salary/wage on job?

There are a questions I have. Do the documents need to be uploaded in color? Documents that are apostilled are two sided or more. Can you upload each side separately? For spouse OCI if American is applying in USA but husband lives in India, will husband's interview be done by video conference? Thanks. Very good video

Thanks for the video. One question. If I have renunciation certificate, but don't have old Indian passport, can I submit documents such as Indian birth certificate as proof of Indian citizenship once upon a time?

Hi, I have an expired PIO card (expired in 2020). I read online that PIO cards are valid till Dec 31st 2024. So my question is what OCI application do I submit? Do I apply for a "New OCI" or "OCI in lieu of Valid PIO". Thanks

This video is very helpful. I have a question on where the Physical Photo needs to be affixed. Where is that form for fixing the Physical photo.

"The physical photo must be affixed on the physical application form and the digital photo must be uploaded on Govt. form online. The physical and uploaded photograph must be identical"

Where are we supposed to attest the documents? Should the documents need to be attested before uploading to the Gov website? Or should the documents be attested before mailing the completed application with the supporting documents to the Foreign consulate? This is not clear.

How many pages of parent's passports are required? Is it the first two and last two or all 36 pages? what about a photo hard copy because with the application uploaded photo gets printed?
