Make Your Sleeves Fit TIGHTER (Every Step In 2 Minutes)

The most annoying thing about t-shirts is when the sleeves are TOO BAGGY. It can honestly ruin a perfectly good shirt. The solution isn't to go and grow your arms, no just make the sleeves tighter by sewing them by hand! You can use a sewing machine for this sure but it's just as easy to do by hand as well.

All you need is a needle and thread. Start by pinching how much you want to take off. In the video I pinched too much so I took a bit less off. Move around too and make sure it's comfortable. Once you have the right fit use a sewing pin or a clothes pin to mark that spot. This is easier with someone to help you but my friends all make fun of me for making sewing videos, so they wouldn't help. I'm sure you will have better luck than me.

Once you've got your spot marked measure the amount you're taking off, and mark it from there down towards your armpit seam.

Ever sewed a backstitch? It's super strong! Thats what you want to use. It won't be PERFECT, don't beat yourself up over it, seriously! I've tailored so many things that had minor imperfections that I still loved in the end. The same thing will happen for you.

Bruh... been sewing now for 3 months and have modified some of my clothes. YOU ARE the FIRST person to explain what a Backstitch is. Lit, I have watched maybe 8 or 9 sewing vids to get the basics (throughout the 3 months). And awesome results! Gonna mod my shirts RIGHT NOWWWW. Please, take my subscribe, I beg

For those new to sewing... he forgot to mention that after you measure you need to turn the shirt inside-out. That way your seams won't show when you're done sewing. (Nice tutorial though. Great work.)

Thanks! As someone who has been going to the gym hard these baggy sleeves hide all my gains...

I’m a 5’3 guy with kind of a big belly so it’s hard finding shirts that fit snug around my arms but not be too small around my body. I did this to nearly all my t shirts and it made them all look a lot better on me. Thanks bro

I’ve learned so much from your videos that I just bought a sewing machine. I pay a lot of money for alterations and sometimes it’s not perfect. I rather learn myself. cheers

You are a legend man! I messed up first time by putting my fold in the opposite direction then sowing 🤦‍♂️ but I unpicked it then did it right and now it's perfect! Thanks bro

Thank you! This was super helpful info. My husband asked me to narrow the sleeves on his t-shirt and I had no idea how to do it. I tried the technique you described, and it worked out perfectly! New subscriber. Cheers!

Another tip, try to use thread that is the same colour (or similar) to the fabric. Makes for a more seamless look 👌

As someone with rather large arms, i HATE tight fiting sleeves. All they do is ride up into my armpits all day

I love how concise and simple this video is. I have seen similar videos that ran over 15 minutes. Needless to say I am not subscribed to those channels but I am subscribed to this one

Great video, short, sweet, and to the point. also, thanks for doing this by hand, as i dont have a sewing machine, so its nice to see that imperfect stitching is good enough for jobs like this

Great tutorial video, I’ll have to give your technique a shot, but first I have to work on these arms 💪🏾

I love videos that manage to be enlightening and entertaining, where I learn something I'll never put into practice because I'm too lazy. Thank you! Subscribed!
