Ich hab den Film gestern zufällig entdeckt. Ich wünschte es wäre heute gestern und ich würde den Film nicht kennen und nochmal so fasziniert und verzaubert vor der Glotze sitzen und jede Minute davon genießen. Nach einer anstrengenden Woche wo ich frustriert war, zufällig bei amazonprime auf einen Film klicken der keine Enttäuschung wird und der Streifen haute mich so weg. Der erste Film in meinem Leben bei dem ich ständig weinen musste.

People mention they like this better than the duet and some even mentioned they don't like the laughing in the duet. I love this version as equally as the duet. But in reference to the laughing, you have to think of the song from the standpoint of the 2 characters within this story, within that moment; Ryan's character is already messing around on the piano when she walks in from work. Both have no idea they're about to do a duet. He switches from messing around to playing and singing this song. She quickly becomes immersed, stopping her just-got-home routine and joins in. She gets to the part, "... Just one thing everybody wants. There in the bars, and through the smokescreen of the crowded restaurants..." which at that point, she's looking at him and chuckling, almost as if pushing him to guess what that thing is. Ryan's character blurts out in a whisper/chuckle "what?" partly because hes just reacting to her laughing and partly because he's not sure what she's referring to. She's talking about something everybody wants and is looking for and he's kind of like "I give up, what is it?" and at that point she knows she 'won' the little guessing game and reveals "It's love!" I love the little back and forth you get to see in the movie during this duet that you don't get from just listening to it. P.S. same goes with the solo version, love the story you get from watching him sing it and how it plays out aka dancing with the old lady lol
