In a remarkable demonstration of maritime power, the Indian Navy showcased its impressive capabilities on June 10th by conducting twin-carrier operations and deploying over 35 military aircraft in the Arabian Sea.

During the operation, India's two aircraft carriers led their battle groups in a combined exercise, highlighting the Indian Navy's formidable maritime capabilities and its capacity to project power across the Indian Ocean and beyond.

With the commissioning of the domestically built carrier Vikrant in September last year, valued at $3 billion, India gained the capability of dual-carrier operations, complementing the service of Vikramaditya, which was acquired from Russia and has been in operation since 2013.

In this video, Defense Updates why dual carrier operation by the Indian Navy is a impressive show of force?

How is it that India can keep a Russian aircraft carrier running, but Russia can't?

Hope that India will also conduct the same dual carrier exercise in the vicinity of the Andaman islands and the Malacca Straight. I can see in the near future that there is a need for India to build, 1 more carrier to allow India to operate continuously a carrier group in the east and west of the Indian Ocean with one carrier on standby or put on reserve.

One was the former Russian aircraft carrier that launched in 1970, the Moscow....I believe.. I remember when it launched out of Ukraine and my dad told us kids it was going to pass through the Bosphorus from Ukraine . I wont forget that.

That is even better than the chinese carriers Add If they will build the INS VISHAL it will make their naval power so much more powerful.

Specially If they can load it with Hal AMCA and TEJAS Mk2

Lack of Jet Blast deflectors will severely hamper fighter takeoff rates, lets hope they will install it in the future.
