Learning how to mix drums properly in logic or any DAW will help your beat stand out and make it a more prominent feature in your mix. The drums are a fundamental piece and arguably the most important part to your song. That's saying if your song even has drums. Of course it doesn't have to. However, if your song has drums and you're trying to get better a mixing then best way to learn how to mix drums is by mixing a lot of drums in order to train your ears. Mixing drums is all about enhancing and leveling the right frequencies so they really pop out of your mix. Thank you so much for this video, please I'm using the drum kit designer on logic, how do I separate the drums into multitrack where I can mix each part differently and still have all of them in the master track, because anytime I change the main track to multitrack and add the kick, snare, toms and hi hat, the overheads are all in the main track.

You don't need to do any of this... sorry to say. You just need good sound selection and set your volumes at a good level. As long as you got good sounds the heavy lifting is done for you
