WW1's horrific nature is always treated with...a certain respect. This pic is pretty great for exemplifying that (look at all their other albums and the images they have). And while Sabaton always treats any of its material with exceptional amounts of respect (they don't pick sides, they tell stories), they do the same as other folks and give it that different treatment in *tone.*

I've never seen WW1 material ever delve into the same sort of...positive sides of a war that people tend to focus on in material. Heroism, overcoming extreme odds, fighting off the baddies...WW1 material rarely touches those subjects...or at least, it keeps your head square on the pure-suckage parts of the affairs far more.

Even Saving Private Ryan kind of devolves into the "A couple soldiers go on badass rampage" trope halfway through compared to the slaughterhouse of the first 30 minutes, and that part was fairly accurate according to the people who actually fought in WW2...
