Got a set of these. Put them on my V-Rod. Wow. I can actually see behind me. Amazing. I have always had the same problem. Thanks man!

I like it! I like the way you work out the pros and cons of the asymmetry from left grip to right grip, and the improvisation you use to fix the problem . I have the same problem on my Sportster 48 -- the stock mirrors just don't show what's behind me well enough. Btw, I'm not even broad shouldered. I'm a tall skinny dude. I agree with you: Safety first, then style and refinement. (I like the Bobber/minimalist thing, but the mirrors below the bar seem unsafe -- like you say, the head has to pivot too far off of the straight ahead, so not safe.) So far, my left mirror doesn't look behind me as well as yours, so thanks to your vid, I think I'll raise it with washers or similar and make it get past the detent. I completely agree that grinding isn't something I want to do, either. Thanks for sharing the full-featured thought process.

This is awesome! I have the same problem not being able to see behind me. I've looked at the Harley split mirrors but have read many complaints about them not doing the job right because the outer part is not convex--just another mirror--making it useless. These brackets seem like a great option. Thank you.
I hope they still are available and will work on my 98 Road King Classic.
