the BEST FREE notetaking apps 🌷

Hello everybody! Thanks for 30k! 💕 also, I've finally created my video about which are the BEST free notetaking apps! I went through and downloaded a bunch of different apps and compared them to each other. I gave my own opinions and first thoughts about the apps. If you have an iPad and don't want to purchase Goodnotes or Notability as they cost around $10, then you can try out these free alternatives!

One note does support palm rejection btw! You just have to turn off "draw with touch" and specify the wrist position you will use.
You can also do this in the settings app. Is a lot of help in general.

tl;dr goodnotes/notability is NOT free

Hello everybody, I keep getting comments that Goodnotes/notability is not free, but the point of the video was to compare free apps to goodnotes, which is the most popular notetaking app. I am sorry if it came off misleading that I forgot to explicitly state that goodnotes IS NOT free and costs money.

Also, thank you to everybody that watched the video, and yes I made a mistake, OneNote does support dark paper (go to dark mode) and hand palm rejection (go to settings)

An alternative to this is a Samsung Tablet, the s6 lite is the same size basically and comes with a S Pen, you don't have to buy a pen. It also comes with Samsung notes pre-installed which does the same exact things as Goodnotes for free. Such a cheap option but just as beneficial ❤ Highly recommend

In One Note you can change the pencil settings to only draw with the pencil rather than with fingers if ygm. That stops the palm rejection. I have had no problems at all.

i like metamoji note lite the most, because it's kinda cute??? and it also has a lot of functions :)) you can also customize the default brushes and stuff given to you (there are 5), and there's also some tabs like the ones in chrome so you can work on multiple notes at the same time!!! it's really good so i hope yall try it, but the only downside is that it isn't modern-looking like emily said but if that doesn't bother you it's worth a shot!

I use notability before I got goodnotes. It has more features than goodnotes. It has a limit of 10 notebooks which is a good amount for a free notetaking app i think? But a tip, you could save the file when you’re done writing on it and delete it from notability and add a new notebook and repeat.

-Notewise (3 free notebooks)
-Kilonotes (3 free notebooks)
-Penly (paid)
-Nebo (paid)
-Microsoft OneNote (free without premium features)

I decided to switch to ipad instead of buying a new bc bc the market for PC's is messed up and all the prices are jacked up! I really wanna take notes on it as well so this was perfect! Hi, you can have a black paper in onenote, by changing the theme of the app to dark in its settings 💜

hi, nebo “rewrite” the words you write on the top because you can choose to convert everything you’ve written in text. just touch the three dots up on the right e choose convert.
you can also underline your words, the text will be thicker when you convert
and highlights words drawing a square around them.
the only “flaw” is that you need the pro version to export everything in pdf

I just use Apple Notes, yes it does have limited features but it has all i need like gird paper, high lighter, lasso tool and such. And the feature of swiping with your apple pencil from the bottom right corner is very useful
