The insert is to help keep the more flexible tubing (pex, nylon, etc.) From deforming and allowing water to seep past. Good video!

Your tutorial is spot on, but that’s not pex bro. Same process though. Good video.

Thank you for the information. I am removing a mobile home Roman tub that has only been used once in the 30 years we have lived here. The step in area is to wide that it was unsafe and the bathroom already has a shower. I don't know what the manufacture of the mobile home was thinking to take up more floor space for a separate Roman tub and shower rather than have a combination shower and tub. It would have been more practical to begin with to have the area used for storage. That is what I am doing. I am removing the tub and putting in wire shelving on roller wheels since it is in front of a window. The mobile home was made when manufacturers were allowed to run the roof to the side wall without an overhang so that when it rains the water runs down the cladding. I have had to replace sections of siding because it was the cheap fiber siding that rots out after a period of time.

I'm sure someone told you already, and it's a 5 year old video, but those are NOT pex pipes, those are CPVC pipes. PEX is more flexable, and come in Blue or Red only.
