This video shows a four-legged “robot dog” armed with an AI-enabled rifle being tested at a US Army counter-drone exercise. The robot, known as the Vision 60 Q-UGV, was developed by Ghost Robotics and features a small turret holding an AR-15-type rifle, a targeting system, and a GoPro-like camera mounted on its body. The exercise, part of Operation Hard Kill, aimed to explore the capabilities of this robotic system in identifying and destroying unmanned aerial vehicles.

The Pentagon’s focus on rapidly developing and deploying drone and counter-drone technologies has been driven by the increasing use of drones in conflicts, such as the war in Ukraine. This initiative is part of the Defense Department’s broader Replicator Initiative, which seeks to field thousands of autonomous systems across various warfighting domains.

Those people are US Air Force, notice the color of the patches (brown) and the prominent "SF".

Army uses black patches and "MP".
