This technology is in it’s infancy. Given a couple of decades of development, the four-legged robots will eventually go a lot faster and farther. They’ll be mounted with armor, machine guns and canons and eventually replace infantry. A formation of them galloping, or a few dozen dropped from a helicopter fully armed, would be pretty scary.

Imagine being wounded/unconscious and you wake up to a robot spider dragging you away while creepily telling you to: "be calm, i am going to take you to fix you" 😮

Amazing and frightening at the same time.

I don't know why but for some particular reason the robotic army part gives me Terminator vibes,
Now in theory, having a robotic army may be better... in certain way atleast...
But we can't forget that they too contain chips, they too were programmed. Just like computers.
1 error... 1 malfunction "could" end up (keyword: "could"), being disastrous

I recall plenty of movies strongly showing the potential risks and dangers of putting A.I. and robots in charge of the military and the general risks associated with creating them to replace our roles in society.

They have to go robotic, we humans refuse to play stupid games anymore.

Since these are all operated wirelessly, I sure hope someone is developing a counter measure.

What could possibly go wrong?

On a lighter note, it was cool seeing the Ma-deuce (a weapon system that has been in service for a minute, yo) mounted on modern technology.

Maybe if they figure out a way to concentrate high energy solar panels they can make the panels small enough to integrate into the robots.

Many of these are already in use but the main objective is to develop better energy sources. The new tactics and technology being developed for the US military is going to surprise and scare a lot of people. Countries like China are still preparing for the wars of the past. We are worried about the future. As long as we can stop China from stealing US tech we will be just fine.
