To exclude opposers: idea was to invite assent voluntarily, not by obligation: without having to have had twisted your arm - willing recruits versus unconverted hearts just looking for a pass, free ride or an out. =] And you've forgotten that there will also be unbelievers folded in by pardon, just like the governor's: "I will have mercy upon whom I so please." As well, believers trying to have it both ways that may just be escorted right on out. =]
