I think Steam and Origin should make APIs so that we can use third party launchers to connect multiple launchers into one.

For example... an old example in another category... Pidgin connects AIM/MSN/ICQ/YAHOO etc etc into one client.

I don't think Wal-Mart will abandon their PC. I think it's just a quality control thing to fix the cable management and to make sure the gpu is plugged in.

Honestly, the Walmart computers only have a dozen small issues. But if resolved, they're not bad.

I don't think Valve will attract the big publishers back, avoiding steam also means avoiding user numbers for the public eye which is very sensitive for the big shots these days.

The problem with walmart (and other big companies that sell pre-built computers) is that they try to cheapen the costs wherever they can, walmart used the cheapest PSU and mobo available out there which will shorten the life of the whole unit severely

The only reason valve is gonna give the game publishers more of a cut is that Epic games is trying to get publishers on there own platform and only taking a 12% cut....

5:00 I hate launchers, period. They don't need to exist.. there needs to be an option during installation to just allow you to install the game as standalone, and it just simply places a shortcut on the desktop and start menu and when you launch the shortcut, it doesn't open a launcher, but rather instead launches the game immediately... just like the good ol' days.

I think using a 4k Webcam for streaming would mostly be used to put it on something that's further and more out of the way from a setup, and then cropping down to 1080p for a facecam so the cam would be out of the way for the streamer, but all the viewers don't just see a tiny head like they would if it was just a 1080p camera non cropped, or cropped into a super low res that doesn't look good.

Walmart didn't pull their computer line. They dropped the price 10-15%. The Problem with "hot news" is it's often poorly verified and wrong. Walmart isn't going to just junk thousands of desktops.

Elgato cam link is a viable solution for any live streaming content creator who wants to have better quality facecam. It also helps particularly gamers who have no idea about other brands such as say magewell.
