This is an example of the Shapiro logical fallacy, he is comparing apples to oranges to help back is religious position - men wanting to have sex generally (impregnate many women) is not the same as men having a natural proclivity for the gender they want to have sex with.

I was around 4 years old when I was first physically hurt for being gay. This was way before I learned what the word meant. The bruises healed but the emotional hurt never went away. I am now 73.

I accept most gays. I think if you fall in love with a person you respect and you live a good life together, like traditional marriage then I am fine with that. You can’t help falling in love with a person. I try not to judge people life choices as long as it doesn’t interfere with mine. Like live and let live. I don’t condone those who yell, scream, and try to subject you to respect them or else…respect is earned not given. You don’t have a right to be respected, you earn it. I mind my own business you do the same.

Interesting that people connect masculine and feminine to gay or straight.

This is not the case. There probably is a higher percentage but being attracted to men does not mean you like musicals ...
It just means you are attracted to men.

I think sometimes people get confused between connected and attracted. In an unconnected society with little caring the lines blur.

To be honest I don't know. It wouldn't surprise me if there is a biological reason for a % of humans being gay or even trans.

Respect each other and mind your own business, is the easiest way.

I have misphonia. When someone slurps their soup, smacks gum etc I experience an overwhelming biological response. Rage is overwhelming. I do want to physically harm them.

I recognize this is my issue. Not theirs.

I walk away. I put on noise canceling headphones if I cannot walk away.

I recognize I do not want to act on my urge. I am responsible for whatever is happening- even if it is an untamable issue of my biological makeup/psyche.

I did not choose this. I can choose my response to it.

I think both, I’m gay and I’ve been gay my whole life. Even as a kid I remember never finding girls attractive and being confused why all my friends were talking about girls that way. But there’s likely also some amount of ppl who were affected or traumatized in some way or another that may have caused a flip in their mind. Psychology is so interesting yall the brain is weird asf 😂

Need more religious people to say idk and not have such a hard stance one way or another. Most religious doctrines say it’s sinful behavior and they go to hell for it, but that also doesn’t mean religious leaders should just target them. Look at the rise in gambling, drinking, drugs, infidelity, divorce, violence, etc.

I prayed everyday that I wasn’t gay and I say ocd clinics and took antipsychotics. One time a therapist asked me if I’d ever be with a girl again. I said he’ll no. it’s a choice in who we are with but not a choice in who we are attracted to

It’s NOT a choice. Why would a person CHOOSE that?

It’s really interesting to watch Ben Shapiro becoming a judge on everything controversial.

Bible never had a scripture against gays until the mid 1940’s. All early renditions agree the correct translation is “boy molestors”.

If it was a descision then no one would choose to be gay.

You are born with sexual instincts and desires but you discover what you prefer through life. I didn’t know what I wanted when I was born because I didn’t know anything but within time you learn and you like what you like.

To be fully honest, it is a question to fully explain that you have to look at diet, neurology, and family dynamics, and that person's beliefs. It is by no means a simple topic. I'm not sure if it is even the primary behavior being exhibited.

You look at the diet because of foods that can promote or destroy hormone production.

You look at neurology because it is the thumbprint of psychology. The two neurology structures of usual interest are the hypothalamus and the occipital lob. Which are responsible for emotional regulation and opinions of beauty. Which are trained structures.

Family dynamics because it is where people are trained to deal with people.

The person's beliefs are important and how they came by those beliefs. Most people have opinions on what they believe. But the question is usually if the beliefs are based on truth or lies. Most people arrogantly believe that they are encapable of error. Thus, their beliefs are perfect and should not be questioned.

you must ask yourself one question. how old were you and where were you at the time you decided that you were straight? I'm a straight (heterosexual) man myself. I actually don't remember that day or where I was because I didn't make that choice. it's not a choice. some people are just born straight and others are born gay. if you take religion out of it and just look at it as nature taking its course it's a lot easier to understand. nobody chooses to be gay or straight. they may have outside influences from birth but one does not make that decision if the truth be known
