The most shocking scene when I watched knight rider when I was young, it was a really great drama

The most painful scene was when KITT was actually killed in the acid and only bare frame remained. The fight with Juggernaut is also more painful, because instead of one shot, KITT gets tormented for several minutes untill the red light fades down. I remember when I saw that as a 6 year old, I ran out of the room crying and refused to watch part two.

most painful? not by a mile. the most painful was to see KITT "melt" in that acid pit, when he was calling Michael for help, yet Michael (and the viewers as well) could do nothing but watch the horror happening

When I was 13 and saw this fircthe first time I really thought Michael and KITT had met their maker and been killed off, it was with great relief that I soon saw that Michael was alive and so was KITT, even though he'd been badly damaged.

Also, the episode showed how capable Michael is. He wasn't just a Vietnam Veteran before he became Michael Knight. He was a Green Beret. A man who solved practical and stategic problems on battlefields.

This to me was the most frightening I've ever seen in this series. I would've never imagined that ever happening to KITT. I always believed that could never happen to him. He was car of the future and was totally indestructible. No harm could ever come to it. Even if you wanted to you couldn't.
