This is a video explaining how to install Ubuntu 18.04 as well as Installing Pterodactyl Panel on Ubuntu 18.04
When I tried to install this myself it was an absolute pain to get working, I spent hours trying to do it, I managed to get it done but it definitely not for the novice Linux user.
So I found this awesome script, then added onto it a bunch to make it as easy as possible for the novice Linux user.
This video first installs Ubuntu 18.04 in a virtual machine, then installs the panel through a script.

If there are any issues with the script please comment down below and I'll get on updating it.

Cannot find module mmmagic:
If anyone has the issue "Can't find module mmmagic" or to prevent this error
Run the script as the root user, not within sudo su or sudo
You have to either login as root or type in su
Then if you still ended up getting these errors you need to run the commands

Then you can start the node

Im having some issues with the node setup, ive done everything correctly as far as im aware but whenever im on the website i have an ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR when trying to GET DOMAIN:8080 i dont know why, the cert works for other ports (loading the website) but i cant understand why it does not like it on 8080, this means that it cant communicate with the server can i cant do anything with it, the heart stays red

Can I use a different domain name for each node or does it have to be the same domain name as the one I can connect to pterodactyl with?

Keep on getting an HTTP/E_CONN_REFUSED - looks like my daemon doesn't connect to the panel. Any idea what's wrong here?

is pterodactyl needed if you run a server with a hypervisor? (am using vmware's one) i wanna look at making and managing multiple servers and using bungeecord.

It doesn't work for me... At some point it asks me to register with ACME which I do and then it says "Unable to register an account with ACME server

If you want to keep the node online without putty opened, just use Screens

can i ask a small question i have a vps but for some reason every couple hours i will have to go into ssh again and redo the config thing with hastebin and then npm start to make it work again why is that?
is there a command or something i am missing?

After i followed this guide i was unable to start a forge mc server on ubuntu. Every other server works just fine. I tried restarting it and making a new forge server but i am completly unable to do launch it. Did the installation progress change something?

Trying this panel out, the whole install went smooth up until i tried to log onto the web panel and it wont load (ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS)

I installed the script and everything worked fine but I can't connect to the web panel because I am on the same network. When I try to join through the internal IP it just redirects me to the domain which takes me through the public ip which won't let me join. I can still connect through devices outside my network though such as my phone. Do you know if there is a fix for this?
