But at 26, fresh outta college, ready to make my way in the world, I realize that the reason I am who I am today is in large part because of him. Steve is soooo right. A woman can nuture her boys but she can't show them how to be strong, and responsible men who are still allowed to cry. As an educator for over 40 yrs. mothers who keep doing this, are the ones who tend to be disrepected by the boys; and those boys remained 'tied to your breasts all their life.' Of course you have to speak up if anyone, family friend or foe, wants to abuse your boys....By the way I'm a mother of 2 girls and similar training is needed for girls.
