It doesn't take a Jedi Mind Trick to convince me that adding Star Wars to chess makes it substantially more awesome.

The Backlog is all about forgotten retro games that are still cheap and easy to find, so make sure to subscribe and find a new old game to love!

The PC version actually had move animations. Whenever you'd move a piece, they would walk to the square as their personal theme music played. The big downside to that was, due to old school CD ROMs being really slow, the load time was ridiculous, so it took them a while to get moving. The whole time you waited, the game would play that character's theme jingle over and over until the animation loaded and they reached their square.

I used to play this over and over....because in 1993, it was the only PC game I had besides Solitaire! Ha ha...also, you could arrange the board with random pieces (like a team of Bishops, or bizarre crap like that) and I would make everybody fight everybody to see ALL the kill animations.

This looks like a game most people would only play once. Can you review Dexter's Lab Chess for the GBA? It's kinda interesting.
