I don't know if anyone has told you. Lots of people don't know but with lumber the measurement is taken off of the rough cut lumber before it gets smoothed out and finished for the consumers. Which is why a 1x6 board is smaller than the name suggests.

might need that with the way its been raining! Might want to start finding some animals....for your battery, what if you put the wires under the deck and put 2 bolts through the deck so you can connect your trolling motor to them, a nice clean way to do it
