Can someone please pray for me..? I have been struggling for so long with loneliness and I have been rejected over and over by the one person I wanted to be with. I thought that he was the one and I waited on him for years, I was waiting for God to change his heart and I thought that one day he would be able to feel the same feelings for me that I feel for him. I cannot see anyone in the same light, I have tried but I get really depressed when thinking about trying to date someone else. I have been crying myself to sleep almost every night I feel really upset. I feel like my heart is broken and my self-esteem has been completely crushed. I have struggled with self consciousness, which is really a bad thing, so I was pushing the wrong people out of my life as a natural defense..

Yet, what God put together let no man separate.

I thought I was to dark in my complexion as a mixed cultural person, I've been very complex.

Yet, I have suffered emotional betrayals and oppression because I tried to give to much to keep the wrong people. SMH .

My innate, and severe, shyness has kept me single my whole life. Its like my brain short circuits and becomes panicked at the same time when ever I am around someone that I would like to get to know. Its even worse if there are other people around as well. As a result I lock up or flee the situation. I wish I knew how to just talk to someone that I was interested in. I see someone Id like to talk to, panic comes and usually the best Im able to manage is a nod or a wave. And thats if I happen to get noticed looking at them in the first place. And Ive been that way since as long as I can remember. I knew I had a real problem when I was 8 years old and its never gotten better.

The fact that there are insecurities means we aren't ready and probably have too much focus on having a partner when we need to get secure in ourselves first. May need solitude to achieve self contentment.

I really like your last point. You didn't touch on being true to yourself, but it's also important not to contradict your words and actions. I see a lot of this at work, and frankly, most of the people I'm around either hate themselves, and or let 'the system' keep them being someone who is trapped by what they can or can't do. It's really sad.
On a higher note, I was talking to a lady friend from Ohio today during my lunch hour ono Twitter. How did that get started? I asked her if there was something she needed prayer for. Bottom line, she's a very strong Christian gal who is constantly posting encouraging things and speaking out on her faith in Christ. After finishing that conversation, I realized I fell for her spirituality. I'm going to be confidential and not post her name, but she's a great friend, and for anyone reading this post, I'd like prayer for our relationship because whether or not I end up with her, I still want to ask her if she's interested in me, w/o being a pervert about it.
