I’m so happy this video popped up!! I have had my own business before but that was as a fed ex contractor. So this new adventure is a bit diff and i had no idea what i was gonna do for inventory. As a cheaper option you could maybe print out the barcode labels and stick them on hangtags or something similar and you can hang those on the peg hooks in front of each product

Thank you for this thorough explanation of how to use the barcode apps and scanner. This is a wealth of information for fellow small business owners...{especially those of us who fully understand not wanting to invest our small earnings on every, little extra thing (like the barcode holders, for example)}. I have tons of small items just as you do, and I don't think I will be putting labels on each product either, but the information you provided was extremely helpful, so I can make a more educated decision. ☺

Barcode thing is cool, but I don’t know if that’s my jam to start. Maybe if I blow up big or something, but not something I need at the moment. Super cool though that you explained all this for people who might genuinely love to jump right into this. I find it so cool with different creators having so many of their own different ideas on some ways they do things. Pretty darn inspirational if you ask me.

I'm not sure if your stock is positioned on the shelves in a particular order (ie most popular closest to your work-desk), but when it comes to printing the barcode labels and then replacing these on the shelves, have you thought of these two options: 1) print the labels in the same order as your stock is positioned on the shelves (ie left to right, top shelf, the 2nd shelf, followed by 3rd shelf etc) or 2) if you can't change the printing order for labels - then change the stock on the shelf to match how the labels are produced. (Large blue, large pink, large black, large green - Medium blue, medium pink, medium black, medium green, Small blue, small pink etc). This simple change will make label updates much quicker and more efficient, especially as your business grows.

amazing, your video was of huge help, I'm creating barcodes in excel to print them, I see you have an automated system probably shopify to do it, I also liked the idea of just printing only one barcode and paste it on the shelves, in this case for a jewelry I think it could work with some items but not all .

I have a clothing store that travels to various pop up events at different locations. Would I be able to use this wirelessly to keep track of inventory in live time while I’m selling things in person? Or would that not work due to not having internet or having to manually click the button before scanning like you talked about at the very end?
