I'm confused what your issue is? Is it the naming nomenclature or that you feel the graph is deceptive? Are you implying that the chart is saying the 9950x is losing to the 14900ks in performance? My read of that chart is that at every power step the 9950 is out performing the 14900ks. Baseline tdp for the 9950x is 170w and the chart show it beating the 14900 base and performance mode. Increase the power on it and it beats the 14900 extreme mode. If it's the mobile processor naming conventions for AMD or Intel you didn't say anything about that and picked a bizarre chart to focus on. What am I missing?

Here's the thing:
Until the 9000 series of CPUs is out, the 7950X is still the best AMD CPU!
Yes, the 7800X3D & the 7950X3D CPUs are better in gaming, but the 7950X is better at other things and it boosts higher!
The reason why the 7800X3D is the best in gaming is because it only has one CCD, while the 7950X3D has 2 (which introduces some latency penalties)!

The term "best" is dependant on the task you are using it for!

Just a month ago, Linus was saying the 9950x is going to be the best thing ever. July 31st is right around the corner, until the CPU drops the truth is unknown, but I think it's going to crush everything out there. The Nvidia RTX 5090 specs will be coming out real soon from Nvidia.

What am I missing here? It really just seems the complaint is that gaming isn't AMD's whole world. The fastest chip for gaming isn't necessarily the top of the line, because of how multi-core cpus tend to work overall. But no one is being misled that the more complex, more expensive CPU is being labeled with the bigger number.

Intel pissed me off with 13th and 14th gen. How can you release another gen and ignore your buyers. No fix till 2 gens later. Pretty shady. Almost 800 bucks in Canada and get cpu degrades faster than ice cream. Intel going to have to instill confidence to even think of buying Intel. To bad corporations put profit ahead of a good bug free processor. Where was quality control? Obviously integrity of Intel definitely took a dive. Deserve every bit whats coming in backlash. So what misleading benchmarks both Intel and AMD do it it's called marketing. All comes out when processor gets released and various reviews come after. So truth will come out when AMD releases.

If you want to be honest with Intel, NVIDIA, AMD and more important - the buyers that you want to influence - just wait for the official launch of Zen 5. Stop trying to benefit by fueling a hype only to accelerate your own business by not even stating facts. We all know that Intel, NVIDIA, AMD and all other manufacturers (of course) try to fool buyers into buying with arguments. But don't do the same mistake trying to back this with even less profound arguments and thinking. Do you want to be treated the same way by any of us that you try to influence?
