I can tell you a funny story about that petrol station... This was almost 30 years ago and I was 9, but I remember it so well. We'd been driving for a while and my friend and I were getting hungry, so we pulled in to this service station to get a snack. They didn't cook food for people there back then, but they did have a microwave in the store and sold ready meals, so we got some of those. The lady serving us asked if we'd tried the meals before and I think we had. My mum told her she should do, especially if she'd had a long day as it would save her cooking, but the lady said she didn't have a microwave in the house, only in the shop. My mum pointed out the obvious - why didn't she just use the one in the shop? The lady responded that was a great idea, but she'd need to break in to use it at night! Thinking it wasn't her shop we moved on to another topic...only for her to mention that yes, the shop was her own business!! Why did she think she needed to break into her own shop?! 🤣
