Man, watching this now is so bittersweet after hearing about the fire at the studio of Kyoani. Their impact has been so surreal on this industry, and it is so sad that we have lost so many talented individuals to one horrendous act of arson. Wish for a peaceful recovery. 🤘✌️

I misread the title as "Konata has made anime better" lol

Not like that wouldn't be accurate...

Before I even start the video: How could anyone hate KyoAni anime?

This is way more controversial than your goblin slayer videos

Does anyone actually hate Kyoto Animation? I find the idea of hating them shocking and upsetting. Just the sheer visual quality of their animation is undeniable. Even if it’s not your thing, you have to admit they’re a cut above pretty much every other studio.

KyoAni consistently puts out vibrant and lively anime. I find it difficult to look away from any show they make.

I remember feeling like a loon back in 2010 for loving all of Kyo-Ani's stuff when the majority of the Western anime industry seemed to do nothing but demean them, their products and their fans for"Literally killing the anime industry." I'm really glad to see so many others talking about how fantastic they are nowadays.

There was never a time I would not like KyoAni. Even when they had their low times, I still liked it a lot!

3:50 Toei's history with skilled people becomes eye opening you realize that Kunihiko Ikuhara, Junichi Satou, Takuya Igarashi, and Mamoru Hosoda are came from properties under their name. They're all great but generally you only will hear praise for Ikuharu and Satou's directorial work only outside of analysis videos/a few posts online from anime sites.

There can never be enough fangirling for KyoAni. Please, continue. I shall do the same in England

KyoAni is one of few anime company I respect to a point I can't help but to love them. Also nice video cutie Pero.

I'm also glad to now be helping realize that vision of a better YouTube! Even if I'm not in the end card yet, that's all well and good, I'm just glad to be helping... um... when Patreon starts doing it's charging money out of me thing. (Would have preferred it did that right away instead of waiting 20 odd days...)

And anyways hearing you talk about KyoAni was of course cool. Not a lot I can think of to comment on from the actual video since it was so short, but, it was great. Super looking forward to your part 2.

Great work on these videos, keep it up! And also I'm awaiting in tense anticipation to see how your channel will change for the better afterwards. Hopefully good!

If anything they may be too good for their own good. I mean... The little I've seen have been that kind of "every cut is sakuga". And it's hard to fault them for it. But sometimes it becomes almost distractingly good.

Which is why I tend to prefer the works of Trigger. Sure, they come from a tradition where whole episodes are little more than philosophical crude slideshows of single drawings per cut. But the contrast between those moments and the silly good sakuga becomes even greater and I'm more blown away by it. With kyoani, yes I did watch Violet Evergarden and wondered in awe over the constant stream of rediculous Sakuga on display, but I've stopped paying attention to the story after a while. It's a weird tightrope to walk on.

But I will say that their work ethics seem to be worth recommending to other studios. Because reading and hearing how talent are normally treated would make most anime fan depressed.

Don't worry the only thing you missed yesterday was youtube shitting itself for like an hour.

Man you sure know a lot. I'm always surprised. You do your homework.

Funny fact: I always support your opinion about k-on; about how great it is based on the amount of non otaku people that watched it. It's because my mom watched it, and enjoyed it.

I am a fucking south American and my mom really felt attached to the girls, she remembered her youth days, even if it was completely different (cause she grew up with her grandma, in a farm). It doesn't prove anything, but I'm happy thinking that the show maybe achieved something more universal.

KyoAni is one of my top picks for the To The Moon adaptation recently announced.

Seriously we cannot overstate Kyoani for doing anime production right. Right up there with Studio Trigger for "making everyone else look like they have their head up their butts" award.
